A Time For Play

Ceta Canyon has always been blessed with incredible natural resources. Over 400 acres of beautifully carved landscape provide lots of opportunity for outdoor sporting. Discover the beautiful and natural waterfall. The hiking and rappelling workshops remain popular, but they are only a small part of what is now available. Thanks to the addition of the Schaeffer Challenge Course, Sumner Pond and Grant Sports Field, Ceta Canyon continues to offer unlimited possibilities for outdoor activities. To schedule a recreation venue or get recreation equipment please speak with our office to help us assist you in arranging your groups functions.

Ceta Canyon Campus

Schaeffer Challenge Course
This course consists of a low course and a high course, each designed to help individuals and groups grow as they make their way through a series of physically and mentally challenging exercises. These successful workshops have been instrumental for businesses, school groups and churches looking to build trust through teamwork. Click here to see more pictures of our challenge course.

Sumner Pond
This tranquil catch-and-release pond sits on Ceta Canyon’s most popular hiking trail, and is wheelchair accessible. It has provided countless hours of fishing fun for youth groups and father/son outings. There is a restroom facility with showers. NEW - Dock Shade Cover, benches and shade arbors.

Grant Sports Field
From soccer and football to frisbee, this sports field is perfect not only for organized sports, but also makes Ceta Canyon a perfect venue for band camp.

Hiking
There are many wonderful hiking trails, including the hike to the natural waterfall.

Swimming
From Memorial Day to Labor Day Ceta Canyon offers swimming to our guests. Enjoy the refreshing water when it is open for use on the weekends or when you schedule it for your groups use.

Activity Center - Basketball and Volleyball
Enjoy the covered activity center anytime of the day with lighted basketball & volleyball courts. Connected to the activity center is our game room complete with ping-pong, foosball, carpetball tables and horseshoe pits close by. This is a great place to play a multitude of activities with your group. It is located next to the swimming pool & snack shack.

Ga-Ga Ball (NEW!)
Ga-ga ball is a fun activity that is great for all ages. We have built a new octagonal court to play this active (& addictive) game which involves getting other players out by slapping the ball to hit them below the knees. It is located next to the activity center & sand volleyball courts on the Ceta Canyon Campus.

Sand Volleyball Court
The sand volleyball court is located near the creek & activity center. Great activity for all ages & groups.

2 Basketball Hoops next to the Wesley Center
2 Fire cirlces ~ firewood provided upon request for free; S'more ingredients & refreshments can be provided for an extra cost
Alto Field ~ small flat area next to fire circle #1 which can be used for activities

Ceta Glen Campus

Recreation Courts
Enjoy the lighted basketball courts, a volleyball court, as well as foursquare, & a near-by horse shoe pit.

Sports Field
The sports field is a great place for a variety of activities. There is a baseball backstop as well as some lights to help illuminate the field for nighttime play.

Recreation Center
The indoor recreation center contains a large area for activities. There are ping-pong tables, a foosball table, shuffleboard, a canteen, table & bench areas inside and out, & plenty of room. There are also bathrooms connected to the building. It is in the same building as the Fireside Meeting Room.

Swimming Pool
From Memorial Day to Labor Day Ceta Canyon offers swimming to our guests upon request.

Hiking
The Glen Campus is a relaxing place to explore & hike around. Enjoy the hike on a rough path up to the lighted cross on canyon rim which overlooks the natural beauty of the canyon.
