We had a great Mother Daughter weekend. About 40 mothers, daughters, and even grandmothers spent the weekend looking at the “giants” in our lives that try to separate us from God. We flew down the zip line, hiked to the waterfalls, gave each other a pedicure, had a Mary Kay make-over, and even made mosaic picture frames. It was a wonderful weekend of bonding time with mothers & daughters. If you missed out this year, I hope you will be able to join us next time! You won’t want to miss out!

Ceta Canyon is a host to many schools in the Northwest Texas area. There are many outdoor activity options, plus there are quality lodging, dining and meeting facilities.
Many schools bring in the following types of programming for their students learning experiences: Archery, Native American Story Telling, Native American Kwahadi Dancing, Dog Obedience Classes, Parks & Wildlife Animals and Fishing, Drug Awareness, Lone Star Ballet, WTAMU Basketball, Golf, Police Dept. Swat Team, Star Gazing, Native Flowers, and Rocks. There is also a Texas Project Wild program that can be integrated into your curriculum.
There is a large sports field that is a great place for activities such as marching bands, soccer, football, and water balloons.
The fishing pond is a great place to explore fishing as well.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Canadian FUMC Challenge for the Benefit of Ceta Canyon.
At the 98th NWTX Annual Conference in Amarillo, Pastor Monte Kreis of Canadian FUMC, announced a challenge for the benefit of Ceta Canyon. “Canadian FUMC challenges all churches and individuals in the NWTX Conference to give toward the principle debt of Ceta Canyon.
Canadian FUMC will match all giving up to $50,000” according to Pastor Monte Kreis. “The quicker we get Ceta Canyon out of debt, the more money can go to other things”.
Please prayerfully consider how your church, Sunday school class, Youth Group, Methodist Men or Women’s group can help double your giving thru the generous challenge of the Canadian FUMC.
Gifts can be sent to the NWTX Conference Office or to Ceta Canyon.
Please mark all gifts “Canadian Challenge”.

Wow! The last seven weeks have been busy! Over 2000 campers have attended the Northwest Texas Methodist Conference Camps. Of those campers, there were 81 New Dawn Campers (mentally challenged) and approximately 1919 youth and children.
What a great way to spend a week praising God, studying God’s word, praying, and having fun with friends.
Thanks to over 300 wonderful volunteers that gave their time, energy & testimony to these youth. Many served multiple weeks through out the summer.
Praise God for the lives that are being changed at this special place. Please lift these youth up in prayer as they continue on with their lives.

We had a great One Way 8/9 Camp this week! About 350 youth. What a blessing to see those that accepted Christ. Many also said they were called into ministry and missions. We are blessed to hear the stories others are sharing. Please share your story with us. Thanks Kathy McDonald - Ceta Canyon - Executive Coordinator

Recently I participated in a display booth for Ceta Canyon at the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Business Connection booth and the Lubbock Chamber Business Expo.
There was a lot of good feed back about this Christian Ministry. Many said they knew about Ceta Canyon thru their church. They either came as a camper or their children came as campers. What a great testimony that is!
It was exciting to educate others about the possibilities that are available year round at Ceta. They did not realize they could bring their business or corporate groups for a meeting, overnight lodging, meals or team building on the Challenge Course.
In the last month we have been seeing school groups come out for Outdoor Education. That is so rewarding for the students.
We are also gearing up for summer camp and are looking forward to a great summer season. Thank you for keeping the upcoming campers, volunteers and staff in your prayers.
